I believe that we are all trying to move towards connection, health, and aliveness. Being a human in this world is hard. We are shaped by our early relationships, the socio-cultural-political context we find ourselves in, and our collective histories. Throughout our lives, we learn resilience and survival strategies in difficult situations that may not be sustainable for us now.
You may be...
I offer a warm, reflective, and collaborative space for you to unpack and explore at your own pace. I will be with you as we navigate the depths of your experiences and encounter the parts of you that you didn't and couldn't know before. The approach I use integrates mindful inquiry with somatic awareness in the body. My intention is to be fully present so that you can balance feeling secure and taking risks in your process.
As we build our relationship together, we will be curious about how the past shows up in the present. We will get to know your familiar patterns with respect and compassion: how they help you, how you relate to them, and how they might get in the way of what you want for yourself. Along the way, you'll also discover parts of yourself that you love and deep wells of resources and wisdom you may come to trust.
Therapy can be a generative and playful space that is freeing from social norms and constructs. I use a social justice lens and carefully attend to issues of power, oppression, and privilege as they show up in our relationship. As you connect more with yourself, you may find the freedom to try on new ways of knowing, relating, and being that honor your deepest desires and bring you a sense of ease.

I am currently not seeing new people but will starting June 2021. Asking for help is vulnerable and courageous, and finding someone you like and trust is important. There are many modalities of therapy, and I am very open to answering questions about my perspectives and approaches. I would be happy to support you in finding a good fit, even if that's not me. Our first conversation is free.
